Took a trip yesterday to Great Meadows Wildlife Refuge in historic Concord, Massachusetts.
I'm guessing that the good time to come here is early in the morning - during the week; this was the first wildlife refuge I've visited that was packed with people like it was a public park. Oh well, at any rate...
There were many "squadrons" of ducks and geese jetting here and there in the wetlands and one spot offered a great flyover view. I thought it was neat how each one of these Canada geese is in a slightly different phase of flight - almost like their practicing maneuvers for the upcoming migration south.
