Here's another shot of the sharp-shinned hawk seen last week in the 'Me and My Shadow' image - I had spent nearly 20 minutes watching and snapping photos of this fine hunter and it seemed pretty eager to remove itself from the frame, as soon as possible. Although not quite as sharp as I'd have wanted, I really liked the position of the wings here - almost as if it's waving farewell to the pesky photographer:-) Love the way those first primary feathers curl up against the air as it pushes away from the roof.
