I've been regular in posting some kind of abstract on the 19th of each month to mark each successive month of posts - today is no exception, marking four months of daily posts:-)
I'm proud to have an original, Century Model Lava Lite, made by Lava Simplex in the 1970's - it still works just fine, although the glass is a bit nicked on the surface. The nicks actually produce a nice kind of sparkle when viewed at the right angles. Awhile ago, I turned the lamp on and let it heat up until it had 'sprouted' some formations then turned it off to let them cool - this is a close shot of some of the shapes contained within the lamp. I thought it looked like some kind of alien limb specimen...too strange not to post:-)
