There were two magnificent birch trees standing in a wonderful light in a local park last weekend and I knew that some peeling, curling bark would make for an interesting shot - fortunately, I was able to isolate a section of bark that was yet untouched by the scritch-scratch of town denizens eager to leave their mark for posterity.
