Found on Marconi Beach, South Wellfleet MA
This image was made in one of those serendipitous moments in which all the pieces fit - I had been photographing the details of the bluff that backs Marconi Beach and as I was lowering the camera following a shot, I noticed this scene developing in the tidal reflections and managed to get the frame.
Today brings post number 1000 on this daily journey - when I began this venture nearly three years ago, I wasn't really thinking in terms of four-digit numbers, but here we are. At this point, making images has become such a regular part of my day-to-day doings that I can't imagine stopping, so on we go. I continue to be thankful for the feedback of those who choose to contribute, as well as for the visits of those who follow along quietly from afar - I also continue to be amazed and inspired by the creative work to be found within the photoblogging community.
At any rate, the house band is playing me off now and I have a plane to catch - frame of mind® will be on auto-pilot for the next week while we unwind on a much-needed vacation; needless to say, the prime directive will be the making of many images. Since San Francisco is one of the most tech-friendly cities, I fully expect to be checking in from time to time, as our chosen hotel provides free secure WiFi. But really, I do go outside once in awhile...
