Photo Info
This simple image begins a series I've decided to call, "Stoned in the City" - a short examination of ornamental stonework in the Boston neighborhood where I spend five days each week. This basic slab ledge is found outside the rectory of St. Clement's Shrine on Boylston Street. This old stone church has an interior acoustic well-suited to renaissance and baroque vocal music - I have many fond memories of performing here with the Boston Conservatory Chorale back in my college days.
"Stoned in the City" runs daily here through Sunday, 28 November. Stay tuned for more masonry hijinx, kids!
