This is the final image in the "Stoned in the City" series. The front portion of the Mother Church houses a large dome, supported by many immense columns. This shot shows the massive bases of some of these monstrous pillars. This finishes up the series in b/w as a way of remembering the shot that prompted me to seek the others - a bit of scroll work found near my parking lot at work. After the great response to that image, I decided to seek out additional bits of marvels of masonry and assemble this series. I hope everyone has enjoyed it as much as I did putting it together.
