December 7, 2004: 80 - True Love Show/Hide Photo Info

It was 17 years ago that a particular music was heard and written and played - that a love so true would blossom and unfurl. I knew in my soul that this woman would be my partner, my equal, my lover, my wife - I just had to convince her of that destiny:-) Being a composer, I did what I knew best and wrote - a music of travel from city to suburbs and back, a music of yearning and hope. I gave her the original, hand engraved manuscript and extended an invitation to its premiere that evening - December 7, 1987. She obliged, was captivated by the music, and the rest is history. If I could have written only one piece of music in my life, it would have been the one I wrote for her:-)
This photo of my lovely wife and I, another from the vault, was kindly snapped by a roommate at the end of spring semester, 1988 - just like back then, I could care less about the room clutter in the background:-)
For those brave souls who'd like to hear the solo piano work composed for that wonderful quest, the links are below. This is contemporary music and may not be everyone's cuppa tea - I only ask that any who partake of its particular disturbance of air pressure listen through to the end, just like my then future wife did so graciously back in 1987.
