Funny things happen when Photoshop goes "bump" in the night - fell asleep, exhausted on the couch with nothing fresh having been shot. A living room lamp was the first thing I laid eyes on when I awoke with a groggy mission to post, so here we be: the lamp. I've always liked the texture of this piece - it looks like some kind of stone, but it's really just clear glass that's been painted on the inside with this mottled pattern. Processed to beat the band, this looks very much like my "view" upon awaking.

side note: thanks to miklos at jui.cc photography for prompting me to start shooting in the RAW format - the last seven posts, with the exception of yesterday's cow image, were shot in the Canon RAW format. I think I'm beginning to like these larger, more flexible files!
