Outside of the art building on the local campus are several retro-looking comet-type pieces made from brushed steel, some of which has oxidized and some of which has remained rather polished in appearance. Here are some of the 'fins' on the top of one of the comets. Or maybe they're rockets, kinda Buck Rogers in style - fascinating stuff regardless.
