Found at Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, Sharon MA
One of the nicest things about a wildlife sanctuary is that more often than not, nature is left to do what it will - human intervention is at a minimum and ideally serves only to help nature do what it does, ummm...naturally. This fallen, broken tree limb will be used by whatever critters might find it useful on the way to becoming a part of the forest floor - in early spring, the place is full of that beautifully organic aroma that signals the presence of a rich foundation for new growth.
