In Perpetual Reflection at Mission Dolores Cemetery, San Francisco CA

Father Junipero Serra was personally responsible for establishing nearly half of the 21 California Missions - 9 from 21 isn't too bad considering that Serra was 56 years old when he founded the first Mission in San Diego. While not buried there, the cemetery gardens at Mission Dolores are quietly overseen by this statue of the good father as portrayed in deep reflection - the sunlight was bouncing up from both the ground and statue pedestal to create the warm glow seen here.
