Found on the Filbert Street Steps, San Francisco CA
The area of Telegraph Hill near Napier Lane (a pedestrian-only thoroughfare) is an absolute paradise of lush gardens - this destination is well worth the climb up the Filbert Street Steps. I liked the old-style painted wrought iron sign here, especially how the adjacent foliage was beginning to take over. We had come here seeking the famed wild parrots who like to hang out in the thick tree foliage - we weren't disappointed, as about two-dozen of these bright green and red feathered friends had gathered for a bit of midday diversion.
