Found at Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary, Norfolk MA

There were countless nest boxes at the sanctuary, as would be expected in such a place - this one deserved a photograph due to the simple yet elegant knot-work carvings around the entry hole. This hanging box had been carefully placed in an out of the way location and it made me think that perhaps this was some bird family's 'summer home' away from the city.

And so commences year three of b/wednesday...
